About Me

Thanks for visiting.

I started this blog in January 2011 to give myself a daily writing assignment. I posted every day for one year. My writing ran the gamut from klutzy moves (falling off the treadmill at the gym), travelogues (got bit by the bug a long time ago), perpetual bad luck (needing a Tetanus shot after a pedicure gone wrong) and my opinions of golf umbrellas in midtown Manhattan (hate them!).

Then in January 2012, I quit my job (a really good job) to fulfill a dream of mine – to travel in South America. I was there for eight weeks and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am still catching up on my writing from those eight weeks. It’s a chance for me to write, which I love, but also, to have a written (read: typed) account of my adventure. My notebooks are full of stories but I might be the only one who can actually read my hand-writing!

In 2013, I am looking for a career that I am passionate about, one that enables risk-taking and creativity. I am a global marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a passion for travel, start-ups and change. I’d love to put my extensive international experience to work.

I have a great deal of experience in the marketing communications world and what I don’t know, I have been teaching myself. I started a WordPress blog to learn about blogging. I created a Facebook and Twitter account for my blog so I could learn the back-end. I have been picking up freelance jobs that require me to stretch my expertise, so I am continually learning.

And if you are wondering about the title – Simply Three Cents – well, a penny for your thoughts and my two cents makes Simply, Three Cents.

Thanks again for stopping by.
